You have to choose either ignore the rings and jump over the hurdles, or take the ramp for rings and slow down. The problem starts when entering a ramp at an angle. The camera remains fixed at that angle as long as you remain in the air.

12:33 <Cepheid> Essentially, by the point the player gets to be able to abuse these bugs in the program, they have since been "fixed" in a sense. If one were to enter the regions before the "fix", it would be akin to walking Mario through a level that was created by a pure byte randomizer. It'd be garbage everywhere.
12:33 <Cepheid> The fix in this case is to "initialize" the regions with emptiness, and then apply data to make the regions traversable, if only just barely. They lead to empty rooms with items, or tunnels that lead to entirely disconnected regions of the main world.

12:52 <Cepheid> In any case, the purpose for these regions is mostly hiding health-ups and such. But one particular region is actually a winding path that one takes to reach an important area that was recently closed off by a cave-in.
12:52 <ConfusionRift> Like, maybe there's one area that people has some recollection that it exists, but was removed, so they can only referred to it as an error handle, or identifier.
12:52 <Cepheid> The person that caused the cave-in didn't want to be followed to where they were going. But we need to get to them anyways.
