Then add to that, for each piece of equipment, the base damage multiplied by the amount of extra damage it adds. The final sum is the damage.

18:11 <Cepheid> Unfortunately, due to the way skin and flesh work, he continuously slides off with the hind paws.
18:11 <Cepheid> If this continues on long enough, or my hand starts moving too much for his liking, he bites down on the skin on the top of my wrist.
18:12 <Cepheid> And he holds the bite. It's as if he's treating my hand as the head of a cat, the wrist as the neck, and the forearm as the body.
18:12 <Cepheid> And since cats are trained from birth by the mother to treat biting down on the nape of the neck as a "Stop moving!" indicator, he's doing the same to me in the hopes it works.
18:12 <Cepheid> So it's punishment/attempting to control me.

18:13 <Cepheid> Also, if I pull my arm away in any way shape or form, he immediately goes for the wrist, and meows in frustration at me.

18:14 <Cepheid> My own observations of his face, along with my parents watching him, suggests that he has no idea what it is he is doing. He looks confused.
