06:06 <Cepheid> I am storing the points.  Vertices in the file are specified as an array of tuples.  Polygons are specified as indices into this array.  But for certain features, like filling polygons, and collission detection, I have to break these polygons down into triangles.

06:07 <Cepheid> I could just store the polygon as an array of triangles, but I want to retain the polygon data for purposes of drawing a coloured border around the polygon edge, otherwise along with each triangle I have to store edge-drawing state.
