00:01 <Cepheid> Morning Schism.

00:03 <Schism> Hiya.  Kinda morningish.

00:03 *** Joins: Pony|25037 (Pony25037@Pony-i454b4.cable.virginm.net)

00:03 <Cepheid> Hell in a handbasket, stomach crunches are hard and painful.

00:03 <Schism> That they are.  Though I should do some myself... get at least some exercise.

00:04 * Schism also blehs. "Back to work in a few."

00:05 <PinkieShy> To hot here today..

00:05 <Cepheid> I want to get my stomach and waist size down.  Same with arms and thighs.  Though the latter might be impossible.  If I start exercising them, my muscles will build to take the place of the fat, keeping them the same size anyways.

00:05 <PinkieShy> Got up to like 40C

00:15 <Cepheid> I just did three sets of stomach crunches.  Tomorrow and the next few days, I am going to be sore.

00:16 <Cepheid> By the way, not making light of your situation Schism, but if you want a cute/silly laugh, check out /r/egg_irl

02:26 <PinkieShy> Dang it!!!! :/

02:27 <PinkieShy> My dryer needs repairs seriously now.. The squealing has gotten worse.

02:27 <PinkieShy> YouTube has a video of a similar model and the belt tensioner was going bad and it just squealed in the video like ours.. :(

02:28 <PinkieShy> Had this thing since 2016 and haven't used it much at all and its out of Warranty.. :/

02:31 * Cepheid holds up a bunch of screwdrivers, wrenches, and ratchets. "Out of warranty just means 'I can open it up without repercussions.'"

02:31 <PinkieShy> Samsung repair center here wants $87 to come out to just check it plus the fees to repair it.. oof

02:32 <PinkieShy> If this thing ends up costing $200 to repair.. it might just be better to get a newer model or different brand

02:32 <Cepheid> Hard to say.  Let's see..

02:33 <Cepheid> A quick perusal suggests that $200 would be cheaper than a new dryer.

02:33 <Cepheid> Dryer prices here seem to range from $500 to $1000 or more.

02:35 <Cepheid> Hum.  Mother wants to buy a new water fountain for the cats as our old one burned out.  Honestly, I don't feel inclined to buy a new one.

02:35 <Cepheid> We've been using our ceramic bowls, and the cats and dog have been drinking from them.  And they carry benefits.

02:36 <Cepheid> Namely, they're regularly cleaned as a result of having to regularly refill them, so there's no like, slime buildup.  The fountain we had, also had problems in the form of black mould spots and such.

02:36 <Cepheid> On top of that, the initial reason we got the fountain is moot.

02:36 <Cepheid> We got it because Tizzy continuously wanted to drink running water.

02:37 <Cepheid> However, even with the fountain, she still bothered us to get a drink from the bathroom sink taps.

02:37 <PinkieShy> With it being as hot as it was today (up to 40C) I am starting to feel like.. Maybe i should.. shave my head for this summer and be the first time ever.. o.o

02:38 <PinkieShy> So it'll be much cooler indoors for me..

02:38 <PinkieShy> Dunno for certain though.

02:38 <Cepheid> The biggest issue with shaving your head is the need for sunscreen or a hat.

02:38 <Cepheid> Seriously, you do NOT want to sunburn your scalp.

02:39 <PinkieShy> I can imagine it would hurt worse than anything ever..

02:39 <Cepheid> Nah.

02:39 <Cepheid> It doesn't hurt any more than sunburn anywhere else.

02:39 <Cepheid> The primary issue is when you lay down.

02:40 <PinkieShy> Cepheid if i remember correctly you shave your head.. Does it help in the summer any?

02:40 <PinkieShy> My hair right now is like all the way past my half back point..

02:41 <Cepheid> Honestly at this point I can't tell.  The problem being that I no longer have a full head of hair.  Though, I do find it more comfortable in the summer when it's shaved down.

02:42 <Cepheid> I will say this much:  If you're worried about cutting yourself, don't be.

02:43 <PinkieShy> I wouldn't do it myself..

02:43 <Cepheid> The scalp is pretty resilient.  You'd have to be pressing really hard to cut yourself.  In fact, by the time you're pressing that hard, you're likely to scalp yourself a bit.  And probably have a sore hand from all the pressure.

02:43 <PinkieShy> I would let great clips or such do it honestly.. So they could tell me for certain if it would look good for me..

02:43 <Cepheid> Heh.

02:44 * PinkieShy has an oval shaped head and that makes him doesn't know 100%

02:45 <Cepheid> I honestly don't know what shape my head is.  I just shave it because it looks less ridiculous than the alternative.

02:45 <Cepheid> I guess it kind of carries a benefit in it's own right, too.  If I ever want to wear a wig, I don't have to worry about adhesive getting stuck in my hair or something.

02:46 <PinkieShy> It's probably just the point of not caring what others will think as well..

02:48 <Cepheid> Like I said, I honestly think letting my hair grow out makes me look more ridiculous.

02:48 <PinkieShy> Supposedly it's predicted it might reach 44c here soon.. Which is making me really consider it..

02:49 <PinkieShy> Can't handle this heat myself :/

02:49 <Cepheid> Are you familiar with the tonsure hairstyle?

02:49 <PinkieShy> Nope

02:50 <Cepheid> It's where a portion of the head is shaved, creating a ring of hair around the head.  It's commonly associated with monks these days.

02:50 <Cepheid> Basically, that's how my hair grows out.  Only the ring is incomplete.  My bangs don't grow at all.

02:52 <Cepheid> ... This discussion is actually making me want to go shave, right now.

03:23 <Cepheid> Right.  So after much internal debating, thinking, self-analysis, introspection, reviewing memories, and certain recent events, I am almost 100% certain I am in much the same boat as Schism.

03:25 <Cepheid> Truth told, there's been hintings and indication since as far back as approximately 2008 or so.

03:34 <Cepheid> Okay.

03:34 <Cepheid> There.

03:34 <Cepheid> Something was going on with IRC on my end.

03:37 <PinkieShy> Nice vhost thing

03:38 <Cepheid> I need to change that.

03:38 <Cepheid> It's been a while.

03:38 <Cepheid> I derived it from, at the time, reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and the Library of Rabi-Ribi.

03:39 <Cepheid> The latter because I had been hearing that tick tock tick tock from the entrance to the library, and because there's the sound of a ticking stopwatch/watch/clock in the final boss theme.

03:40 <Schism> I still like my vhost: 'Schism@royalkitchen.canterlot.equ'.

03:40 * Ali flops over Schism

03:40 * Ali sits for ten years without a custom vhost

03:42 * Schism offers the Ali some cream of mushroom soup. And snuggles.

03:43 <Ali> I tried to do a OOTR and it failed horribly.

03:44 * Schism provides Ali with a single rupee.

03:45 <Ali> That and just waiting to see how bad the new Warhammer 40k ends up

03:45 * Ali takes the single arrow, to go with her non existant bow

03:47 <Cepheid> !link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69zi-1ct8_g *Tick* *Tick* *Tick*

03:47 <DerpyBot> Twilight told me this video is about Rabi-Ribi OST - RFN - I I I [Extended]

04:00 * Cepheid realizes he can now use his current laptop in ways that he didn't want to in the past, due to concerns about damaging it. With new laptop coming later this month, there's no need to worry. o3o

04:01 * Schism watches Cepheid hold the laptop up by the screen, just to make folks cringe.

04:01 <Cepheid> Nah.

04:02 <Cepheid> Previous laptops I've had, I used to lay down in bed with them next to me and read off their screens, that's how I read LP archive stuff.  These days, I use a tablet, but said tablet is garbage, and runs slowly.

04:02 <Cepheid> When I lay on my back, I also stood laptops up on my chest, etc.

04:02 <Cepheid> I didn't do that with this laptop because A)  I didn't want to roll over on it after falling asleep spontaneously, and B)  Because the hinge is... fragile.

04:03 <Cepheid> In fact, the hinge is broken again on it.

04:03 <Schism> Yeesh.  Well, now you needn't worry!

04:03 <Cepheid> The hinge breaks regardless of what I do.  It seems it was poorly designed.

04:03 <Schism> Also, ah yes, LP Archives.  I should re-read the saga of Steve.

04:03 <Cepheid> I hope ASUS learned to stop using plastic on their hinge connections.

04:03 <Cepheid> The hinges themselves are metal, and very sturdy and effective.

04:03 <Cepheid> And on the body, they're connected to the metal frame via two screws, each.  Very sturdy.

04:03 <Cepheid> But on the lid/screen..

04:04 <Cepheid> They're screwed into plastics.

04:04 <Schism> I really don't know why manufacturers always leave that single point of failure like that.  I mean, come on.

04:04 <Cepheid> The screen itself is attached to the metal backing via a few clips, which is fine.

04:04 <Ali> Cause they /want/ yoru stuff to break so you buy a new one

04:05 <Cepheid> I'm not so sure.

04:05 <Cepheid> ASUS isn't known for making hardware that's faulty.

04:05 <Cepheid> And if it is, they usually fix it pretty quickly.

04:05 <Cepheid> Case in point, my X470 motherboard.  Apparently, and this wasn't covered in the numerous reviews I read, it had a lot of problems initially at release.

04:06 <Cepheid> Now, it seems to be stable.  In fact, it supports Zen 2, despite being made for Zen+.

04:06 <Cepheid> Just no PCIe4.  But then, right now?  I don't need it.

04:08 * PrincessRainbows hugs Ali really tight

04:08 <DerpyBot> New post on Equestria Daily by Silver Quill: Comic: Pinkie Pie Says Goodnight – Slowpoke [ http://tinyurl.com/yax2su37 ]

04:08 * Ali huggles PrincessRainbows back just as tight

04:09 <Cepheid> In any case, I haven't heard of hinge problems with ASUS laptops since this model.  Granted, I can't go ASUS anymore, because the Linux support is... finicky with newer laptops.

04:09 <Cepheid> The laptop I ordered is explicitly designed to run Linux.

04:10 <Cepheid> I would have gotten something more modern, like the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5, but...  One, Lenovo.  Two, my dad works for Dell, so if anything goes wrong with my new laptop, he can diagnose and repair it.  Three, the Lenovo is limited to 8GiB of RAM.  I want at least 16.

04:10 <Cepheid> And other models of laptops using the same CPU are finicky with Linux, or have 8GiB only.

04:11 * PrincessRainbows licks Ali so much

04:11 <Schism> Sheesh.  What type of computer is limited to 8GiB these days?

04:12 <Cepheid> Ultrabooks and slim laptops.

04:12 <Cepheid> The problem is space.

04:12 <Cepheid> In fact, the laptop I ordered is limited to 16GiB only.  No room for expansion.

04:12 <Schism> Ah, true.  And heat.

04:12 <Cepheid> The RAM itself is soldered onto the board, to boot.

04:12 <Cepheid> So I can't swap it out for more.

04:13 <Schism> ... I'm sure there's probably a reason for that, but...

04:13 <Cepheid> Again, size.

04:13 <Cepheid> Ultrabooks are very thin.

04:14 <Schism> Oh, I just meant it being soldered on.

04:14 <Cepheid> Same reason.

04:14 <Cepheid> The slot takes up space.

04:14 <Cepheid> As does the DIMM.

04:14 <Cepheid> In any case, I am not bothered *THAT* much by it.

04:14 <Cepheid> NVMe is making it a bit easier to go without having large amounts of RAM.  As is ZRAM.

04:15 * Schism rolls over to Cepheid. "...we are all made of cake."

04:15 <Schism> Also, that's fair!

04:15 <Cepheid> Heh.

04:17 <Cepheid> ZRAM, for those not familiar with it, is memory compression.

04:17 <Ali> About something like that

04:17 <Ali> What the HELL is a Terraflop?

04:18 <Cepheid> Number of floating point instructions per second, I believe.

04:18 <Ali> First one to say flopping onto earth I'll bap them

04:18 <Schism> One trillion 'floating point operations', or FLOPs, per second.

04:18 <Cepheid> In the case of tera, one teraflop is 1 trillion floating-point instructions per second.

04:18 <Cepheid> A god-awful metric of CPU performance, to be honest.

04:19 <Cepheid> Or GPU performance.

04:19 <Schism> It's not the size of your FLOP, it's how you use it.

04:19 <Cepheid> Mmhmm.

04:19 * Schism notes to Ali, "Everypony do the flop!" Then she flops on Ali.

04:19 * Ali squeaks at Schism

04:20 <Cepheid> Benchmarking tools, especially those used by Intel, AMD, nVidia, and other hardware manufacturers, tend to be biased towards their hardware.

04:20 <Cepheid> And they use this fact to sell their products.

04:20 <Cepheid> Okay, great, that Intel CPU can do 78 teraflops.  But it requires heavily optimized code for that specific model of CPU.

04:20 <Cepheid> Of which 90% of software will not be.

04:20 <Cepheid> As it is, most software barely goes past SSE2 support.

04:22 <Cepheid> Mostly because, if you want to cover as many computers as possible in terms of support..

04:22 <Cepheid> You stick to SSE2.

04:22 <Cepheid> It's the bare minimum required for 64-bit CPUs in the x86 world.

04:23 <Schism> As the old saw goes, you can specialize, but that makes a computer absolute pants for doing other things.

04:23 <Schism> Or renders the software incompatible.

04:23 <Cepheid> It's mostly about compatibility, yeah.

04:23 <Cepheid> Hell, as it is, Linus just ranted about AVX-512.

04:24 <Cepheid> He'd prefer it if Intel stopped working on all these various technologies for floating point mathematics, and just focus on pure integer computing.  Leave the floating-point stuff to GPUs.

04:26 <Cepheid> CPUs are good at doing integer mathematics.  Not so much at floating-point.  Even now, with all the special extensions made for it.

04:26 <Cepheid> An old GPU can typically outperform a CPU at floating-point mathematics, still.

04:28 * PrincessRainbows terraflops

04:30 * Schism takes a look at PSO2. "Windows 10." She immediately nopes off into the distance.

04:31 <Ali> You're gonna have to get used to Win 10 eventually Schism

04:31 <Ali> Cause they'll force you out of 7/8/8.5 eventually

04:31 * Schism flailyhooves. "I know, I know. I already am used to it: I use it on my workboxen."

04:31 <Cepheid> Don't forget the tool I linked.

04:32 * PrincessRainbows looks up at Ali with teary eyes and hugs mo

04:32 <PrincessRainbows> Yeah

04:32 * Ali huggles the PrincessRainbows

04:32 <Schism> Cepheid: Which tool was that, pray?

04:32 <PrincessRainbows> Meh, fat fingers

04:33 * Schism also looks at her nails, and frowns. "Growing these out would be more sensible if I didn't have an urge to bite them."

04:34 <Cepheid> https://www.w10privacy.de/english-home/

04:34 <Cepheid> Heh.

04:34 <Cepheid> Speaking of nails..

04:34 <Cepheid> My mother hates me for my nails. :P

04:35 <Cepheid> Her nails are extremely brittle.  They break easily.

04:35 <Schism> Ah yes, that tool.  Also, hah.  Mine are pretty tough.

04:35 <Cepheid> Mine, meanwhile, are extremely pliable.

04:35 <Cepheid> They flex and bend without issue, and are hard to tear.

04:36 * Ali hates nails, they're annoying and must be super short

04:36 <Schism> Makes them frustrating to trim, though, I bet.

04:36 <Schism> Hah.  "The conspirators attempt to stab Julius Caesar only to discover that he too is made of cake." --SparkNotes' official Twitter

04:36 <Ali> If not, they have this wierd double feel to them and it triggers my austism to just sit there and play with it

04:37 <Cepheid> I don't mind long nails, but there is one thing I have to do to make them bearable.  And I have no idea why it makes them bearable for me.

04:37 <Ali> So I end up rubbing a thumb or something over it for no freaking reason

04:38 <Cepheid> Essentially, if I have nails longer than the bare minimum, such that I feel them clicking up against keyboards and such..

04:38 <Cepheid> They absolutely, positively, cannot be left at just "clipped."

04:38 <Cepheid> I have to apply a nail file to them.

04:38 <Schism> Oh, yes.

04:38 <Cepheid> Otherwise, for some reason, they feel weird when typing.

04:38 <Schism> Sliding across the keys?

04:39 <Cepheid> No.  It's hard to express.

04:39 <Schism> Mmm.

04:39 <Cepheid> Using a nail file on long nails makes my nails feel like they're more sturdy when tapping against the keys, is the best way for me to express it.

04:40 <Cepheid> And the feel of the tips is just... "wrong" when they're long.  I think it might be how nail clippers leave a sharp edge.

04:40 <Schism> Oh, that is sensible, yes!

04:41 <Cepheid> That said, every time I buy a nail file, it tends to go missing under the pretense that it belonged either to my mother or sister.

04:41 * Schism eyebrows. "I... can see that happening."

04:42 <Cepheid> No, that's legitimately what happens.

04:42 <Cepheid> I think my mother knows they belong to me, but just takes them to "cover" for me or something.  Because it's not the first time she's seen me with feminine stuff.

04:43 * Cepheid painted their nails once. Mother complimented them about it, but requested that it be removed, more for the sake of their father.

04:47 * Cepheid goes to do some more pushups.

04:48 <Cepheid> Hell, I'm gonna be painful over the next few days, aren't I?

04:48 <Cepheid> Ah well.  Each time I do it, the pain will last less and less before I can do some more.

04:54 <Cepheid> Right now, exercises consist of pushups, and stomach crunches.  The former for general strength and minor cardio.  The latter more because I need to get my belly size down.

04:56 * PrincessRainbows boops Ali's horn while yawning

04:57 * Ali teleboops PrincessRainbows nosie for hornbooping

04:57 <Schism> For some reason I am feeling like making rice.

04:58 <Cepheid> I dunno what I'll have for dinner tonight, myself.  Parents made pork chops, but I'm not in the mood for that.

04:58 * PrincessRainbows rubs her snoot and curls up under Ali with her pacifier. Nini

05:09 * Schism yawns. Also decides to make rice after all. With lots of vegetables, of course.

05:11 * Ali adds soy sauce to it

05:11 <Schism> But of course.  Gotta have soy sauce.  And possibly sriracha in mine.  o3o

05:12 <Ali> No, nothing hot

07:36 * ConfusionRift flopples.

07:43 * Ali flops over ConfusionRift and yawns. "You know you're old when you start seeing games you play as a kid sell for $100k at auction.

07:44 <ConfusionRift> Yep. And then get upset because you sold/lost/broke it, and those are gems now.

07:45 <ConfusionRift> Do have a few that have some value, but not so much as that.

07:45 <Ali> Well its unopened

07:45 <Ali> I mean I still have my NES's original box and instructions along with the system

07:46 <Ali> Also I still have the box to Pokemon Yellow

07:47 <ConfusionRift> I don't have much with me anymore.

07:48 <ConfusionRift> The only thing that might have had some value was left in P.R., and it's probably rusted or under rubble.

07:49 <ConfusionRift> I had a Sega Genesis Menacer, with all the accessories, the cart, and the box.

07:49 * Cepheid examines Wilson's Algorithm for maze generation.

07:50 <ConfusionRift> Sadly, most Nintendo games later on came in cardboard boxes, which got mangled with time. So I lost all the boxes and instructions.

07:52 <ConfusionRift> I still got my Game Gear games. Got a Game Gear as well, but it's not the original one I had. I lost mine.

09:15 * Cepheid checks the radar to see how the weather will be today.

09:18 <Cepheid> Got some rain headed my way, but only a small bit.  Then it looks like it clears up.  Bleh.  I'll need to find a way to darken the room downstairs, or sleep upstairs.

09:26 * Cepheid vibrates impatiently.

09:34 * Cepheid checks Grim Dawn's dev blogs. "... Huh."

09:34 <Cepheid> Hey Rifty, that damaged bridge after Cronley?

09:35 <Cepheid> The one that's supposed to lead to Homestead?  Apparently, Crate's gonna restore it.

09:36 <ConfusionRift> Well, yeah. There really was no point on keeping it that way after a certain point in the game. Found it odd.

09:38 <ConfusionRift> Reminds me. Found another strange oddity by Asterkarn? It looks like there was supposed to be another entry from under a bridge, but Crate decided to block it off.

09:41 <Cepheid> Hum.  There's two possibilities I can think of, and one is "It was just blocked off due to lack of time" and the other is a spoiler.

09:41 <Cepheid> Sort of.

09:41 <ConfusionRift> https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1318942473282992258/166CC47A67DC736AAD72EC459FADA7BD26C8F610/

09:42 <Cepheid> Oh.

09:42 <Cepheid> That crumbling wall.

09:42 <Cepheid> I know exactly where that is.

09:42 <Cepheid> Want a hint?

09:43 <ConfusionRift> It's just out of range, and it's out of sight, so I can't attack it. By the end of the bridge, there's a bit of a path that goes out of the map, but it leads to a boulder. So I can't get to it.

09:43 <ConfusionRift> Sure.

09:43 <Cepheid> It starts in Lower Crossing.

09:43 <ConfusionRift> Reaaallyyyy.

09:43 <Cepheid> Yeah.

09:44 <ConfusionRift> Jeez.

09:44 <Cepheid> It's quite drawn out.

09:44 <ConfusionRift> Guessing it's kind of a back road?

09:44 <Cepheid> I'll be blunt, it's a hidden quest chain.

09:45 <ConfusionRift> Aaaah. Okay. It's all I needed to know. :P

09:45 <ConfusionRift> I'll probably stumble on it in some way.

09:45 <Cepheid> It's got some good lore, though.

09:46 <Cepheid> All I can say though is that it starts in Lower Crossing.

09:46 <Cepheid> Which is hilarious because it can murder the hell out of you if you discover and get into it somehow.

09:47 <ConfusionRift> And this happened as well... https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1318942473283011051/480B22893897942C2892AD3C0172850EADDC79BF/

09:48 <ConfusionRift> Couldn't grab that loot. -_-

09:48 <Cepheid> Ah, yeah.  That happens rarely.

09:49 <Cepheid> Least none of it was legendary.

09:49 <Cepheid> Also, looks like you sided with Kymons.

09:49 <Cepheid> Tell me how that goes.  I always sided with the necromancers.

09:50 <ConfusionRift> To be honest, they both gave me the same vibe. I just went with the slightly less dangerous looking lot.

09:50 <Cepheid> Heh.

09:50 <ConfusionRift> And later down, seems they might just end up being the same.

09:50 <ConfusionRift> Grim Dawn, maaaan. Makes you question everyone and everything.

09:53 <Cepheid> Honestly, Cairn is ****ed.

09:53 <Cepheid> It's one of those worlds where, if one thing goes wrong, everything goes wrong.  And even it that one thing didn't go wrong, everything else would still go wrong sooner or later anyway.

09:54 <ConfusionRift> Murphy's Law as a world.

09:56 <Cepheid> Murphy's Law is probably also why the player character exists, at this point.

09:57 <ConfusionRift> "Can you do me a favor?" | Sure, old man. | "Can you find my daughter? She's a harpy who has turned, and is no longer herself. Can you please... find her?" | Oh... sure thiiiiooooh... I got some news... | "And can you please... give her peace, by executing her?" | Those WERE the news... kinda... already... did. | "Oh... thank you for... wait... YOU BAST-!" | Gotta go laters see ya BYEEEE!

09:58 <Cepheid> Heh.

10:00 * Cepheid arrives at the Necropolis. Covered in so much blood and gore that Ch'thon doesn't even need their followers to collect any more blood.

10:00 <ConfusionRift> Hey, what's up? Looks like you... (looks at all the blood) ...had a good hunt.

10:03 <Cepheid> I haven't had a shower since I was cut down from that damned noose.  I have cut my way through thousands upon thousands of beasts, zombies, cultists, aetherial critters and creatures, spiders, giant rockworms, trolls, more cultists, giant freakin' insects, a demon in the form of a child, MORE cultists, MORE aetherial horrors, and I'm all out of bubblegum.

10:05 * ConfusionRift swats some of the gunpowder, blood, and burned fur and flesh off his armor. "I feel ya. Same on here."

10:06 <Cepheid> On the upside?  I killed a god somewhere along the way, so I think I'm kind of like, a threat to Cairn now.

10:07 * ConfusionRift shrugs. "C'est la vie."

10:07 <ConfusionRift> One moment you're bopping zombie on the head with a stick, next you're killing a demi-god... or god, in this case.

10:08 <Cepheid> If it wasn't for the fact that it'd kill performance, and some complexity issues, I wish a game would keep track of any and all blood splattered on your character and their gear, so you can see just how horrific you look by the end of the game.

10:12 <Cepheid> Sounds like my dad's up.

10:21 <Cepheid> And yerp, he is.  So I can get comfy downstairs for bed.

10:22 <ConfusionRift> Yeah, that would be system taxing. I think there was a game that kinda did that, but not to a degree of being 100% drenched.

10:22 <Cepheid> Dragon Age.

10:22 <Cepheid> It really liked to apply blood decals to the characters, player characters and NPCs alike.

10:23 <Cepheid> So you'd get strange cutscenes with characters absolutely covered in blood splatters.

10:24 <ConfusionRift> hehehe.

10:25 <ConfusionRift> "I just love dogs. Doesn't everyone? | (stares with crimson eyes and blood just dripping from his cloak, stares deeply...) I like puddles.

18:30 <Ali> Schism, the Pocket Egg is Locked at Lon Lon Ranch

18:31 * Schism ... headtilts. o.o

18:31 <Schism> That is a weird seed.

18:31 <Ali> So the seed is basically telling me that the pocket egg and the stuff connected to it are all junk

18:31 <Schism> Well, I've had ones like that.

18:32 <Ali> Cause you can't get Talon back to the ranch without it, and Malon isn't there to give you Epona's song

18:32 <Ali> Well, not for me, songs are randomized

18:33 <Ali> Also that does suck a bit, cause that means the gate out of Kakariko is permanantly locked

18:34 <Ali> Minor

18:58 <Schism> I'm surprised that I got nearly... *count*  10 hours?  But blergh, I feel you.

19:01 <Cepheid> For me, the problem has been the sunlight.  My bedroom has blinds *AND* blackout curtains, so I can make it pitch dark.

19:02 <Ali> Hmmm, there's the Hookshot

19:02 <Schism> That opens up a lot.

19:02 <Cepheid> I just realized that I am surprisingly not sore from exercise.

19:03 <Schism> Getting used to it, I take it.

19:03 <Cepheid> Probably.

19:03 <Ali> Schism, maybe, but there's things I can and can't do

19:04 <Ali> I have the Minuet of the Forest, but that is too risky cause its a softlock

19:04 <Cepheid> I would have expected the stomach crunches to cause pain.  But perhaps because of the fact that I have to hold myself straight while doing push-ups, my stomach muscles were getting a workout, and thus don't hurt as a result.

19:04 <Schism> Ali: Mmm.  That's why I prefer 100% availability runs.

19:05 <Ali> I'm not sure why it put the pocket egg in that place Schism

19:05 <Ali> Other than it tells me that its not required to beat the seed

19:05 <Ali> The thing is

19:05 <Ali> Where is the Logic pointing me right now

20:46 <Ali> There are three bomb bags in the game, and I haven't found a single one yet.

20:47 <Ali> I have chus, but that's not helping a ton

20:47 <Schism> Spoiler alert: two of them are in Lon Lon Ranch.

20:47 <Ali> Spoiler Alert Schism: Pocket Egg is at Lon Lon....wait

20:48 <Ali> Pocket Egg is the 2nd chain... not the first right?

20:48 <Schism> I forget exactly?  I think it might be.

20:48 <Ali> If that's true, then its just hidden somewhere else and nothing is locked

20:48 <Ali> Which would make sense since I didn't make the game like that.

20:48 <Schism> I dunno.  Does the Pocket Egg hatch into different items depending on the seed?

20:49 <Ali> No, its always part of the chain

20:49 <Ali> So if it was the 2nd one, it would watch into the second chicken

20:50 <Ali> There's also something 'way of the hero' in Goron City, but its child and I need the bomb bag for at least one of them, and din's fire or zelda's lullaby to do the spinning pot

21:31 <Ali> Dunno

21:31 * Schism also hugs PinkieShy. "I know. For the last week I've had... like five or six days of about 4 hours."

21:31 <Ali> Its Keysanity/Shopsanity

21:32 <Ali> But I'm missing bombs, which is really what's hurting at the moment

21:32 <Schism> For some reason, now I want to do a full-fledged LM randomizer run, but... it's more fun with friends.  And Cepheid's not up.

21:32 <Ali> Same with Zelda's Lullaby

21:32 <Schism> Ah, yea.

21:33 <Ali> And there are some things I could do that are out of logic that might find something

21:33 <Ali> Like the Dampe race without the Song of Time

21:33 <Ali> But if you fail the trick, you softlock

21:33 <Ali> I'm keyless to the Forest Temple, Bombs stop most progression thru the Fire

21:34 <Ali> Water can't change the water levels

21:34 <Schism> Yeah, but that's... way, way out of logic.  You didn't spawn the seed with any glitch breakers?

21:34 <Ali> Oh I never do a seed with stuff without logic

21:34 * Schism nodnods, "Same."

21:34 <Ali> I only can do a few tricks, but not enough to warrent the no logic stuff

21:34 <Schism> Sure, I can do raindrop glitch in LM, but nooope, not going there.

21:35 <Ali> Anyway, Shadow Temlple is locked by Din's Fire

21:35 <Ali> And Spirit Temple I can't get to without the song or the Lens of Truth

21:35 * Schism comes up with a modification to her flashy biker tank outfit in FFXIV. "Why do I want to turn this jacket pink?"

21:35 <Ali> Zelda's Lullaby locks me out of Ice Cavern

21:36 <Ali> So there's something somewhere I'm missing

21:37 <PinkieShy> I think mine issue might be to hot in my room related..

21:37 <PinkieShy> So might invest into a dehumifier or window a/c unit soon enough and put in my room.. we have a HVAC system but the vent in my room doesn't put out much >_>

21:39 <PinkieShy> Heck even my closet is veyr humid.. I buy one of those Damprid things and it gets full in a month most of the time.

22:01 * Ali flops over Schism. "You know I still want to do a mega factory for Factorio, but playing the game alone makes that really hard."

22:02 * Schism hugs the Ali. "I'm sorry. I've just not really been in a building mood of late."

22:02 <Ali> Understandable

22:09 * Schism applies a few postfilters. Blinks. "Okay. This is nice."

22:10 <Schism> Really really bright.

22:27 <Schism> ... Viera retainer, please don't be so weird...

22:32 <Cepheid> You know, I'm not sure I can take this stuff.

22:34 <Schism> Eh?

22:35 <Cepheid> The medication I was given that makes me exhausted.  It has weird effects on me, especially if I didn't get enough sleep.

22:36 <Schism> Mm.  And you still have yet to get enough sleep.

22:37 <Cepheid> I got some sleep.

22:37 <Cepheid> And it feels like enough.

22:37 <Cepheid> But my gods does my body feel weird.

22:38 <Schism> Hmm.  50ms lag?

22:39 <Schism> Grokking things can do that to you too.

22:39 <Cepheid> Not lag.  It feels like there is a mass of something heavily weighing down on me.

22:39 <Schism> Oh, that's just your skin.  Remember, you're a skeleton inside.  </joke>

22:40 <Schism> But that does sound like a good time to have a shower.

22:40 <Cepheid> I've been preferring to take my showers before bed lately.  Probably due to all the sweating I do over the day.

22:41 <Cepheid> https://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2019/08/30/end-fillings-sight-scientists-grow-tooth-enamel-repair-damage/ ... Huh.

22:57 <Cepheid> https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/daily-life-of-dia/embarassing/viewer?title_no=94272&episode_no=4 Me.  All the ****ing time.

22:58 <Schism> YES.  That.  That exactly.

23:00 <Schism> Also: https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/daily-life-of-dia/acting/viewer?title_no=94272&episode_no=21

23:01 <Cepheid> I have a complete inability to remember names and faces.

23:01 <Cepheid> The only way to circumvent this is basically to state one's name each and every time we meet, and even then it usually takes a few days for it to stick.

23:01 <Schism> Faces, I can deal with... somewhat.  Names, I'm mildly better at.  Voices?  ...  I'm not sure.

23:02 <Cepheid> Names I'm absolute garbage with.  Faces are...  Interesting, for me.

23:02 <Cepheid> Voices are a big problem for me.

23:02 <Schism> Well, for reasons, of course.

23:03 <Cepheid> I do eventually remember faces, but the thing I notice and focus on first is not the unique traits.

23:03 <Cepheid> It's the ancestral traits.

23:03 <Schism> Normal.  Entirely so.

23:03 <Schism> It sucks, but that's unfortunately the truth.

23:03 <Cepheid> People, I look at their face and body, and I can tell a general idea as to what region their ancestors came from.

23:04 <Schism> That's a very big part of what society does to us.

23:04 <Cepheid> It's not that I try to see them that way intentionally.

23:04 <Cepheid> I notice it because I like noting the differences in body structure, facial structure and the like.

23:05 <Cepheid> It makes me wonder what would lead to those physical traits.

23:05 <Schism> Oh, more of a scientific consideration than a social one.

23:06 <Cepheid> Mmhmm.

23:06 * Schism imagines Cepheid looking at her physical traits. 'Were you... the child of a marionette?'

23:06 <Cepheid> Like, a black person, their skin is dark because their ancestors likely resided in a region that received a lot of sunlight, and was particularly hot.  Dark colors absorb and radiate heat more easily.

23:07 <Cepheid> Whereas a person with a particularly pale skin tone likely came further from the north or south, near an arctic region.

23:07 <Cepheid> Because less sunlight means colder temperatures, and thus, they have to retain the heat.

23:07 <Schism> And I mean, that's basically all there is to it.

23:07 <Cepheid> But then I see other traits as well.

23:08 <Cepheid> The one that sticks out to me the most, and the one I envy the most are those with the extremely lithe body frames.

23:08 <DerpyBot> New post on Equestria Daily by Calpain: Comic: So Hot / R.U.M. and Coke / Stable Shorts 61-62 / OC Mania Contest [ http://tinyurl.com/ybxzphx9 ]

23:08 <Cepheid> People who, despite eating and drinking normally, have a very thin frame on their skeleton.

23:09 <Cepheid> And I *KNOW* these people eat food.

23:09 <Schism> That is perfectly sensible.  Though the question of why the svelte frame became so preferable is rather an interesting social dynamic.

23:09 <Cepheid> There is that, yes.

23:09 <Schism> Not just on a personal level, but on a social one.

23:09 <Cepheid> But, from a personal level, I see larger frames to be more "manly" whether or not society pushes that ideal.

23:10 <Cepheid> Which is why I am not a fan of it.

23:10 <Schism> I'm weird that way.  Six foot even and thin as a rail...

23:10 * Schism grumbles. "Except for this." Pokes her gut.

23:11 <Cepheid> 6'1", but I have a broad frame.  I could probably get myself down to a relatively skinny frame, but it feels like my torso won't shrink all that much.

23:11 <Schism> And oddly, larger frames can be construed as more feminine, too, depending upon distribution.

23:11 <Schism> Heh.  Having a discussion like this in main.  I, er.  Are we putting anyone off?

23:11 <Cepheid> I'll BRB.

23:11 <Schism> Sure.

23:12 <Cepheid> Just wanted to switch to my PC.

23:13 * Ali em paleface

23:13 <Cepheid> I am too, though less due to genetics and more due to my lack of going outside.

23:15 * Cepheid does a good deed. Enjoyed Azul's comic. Donates $100 to them.

23:16 <Schism> Anyway... I don't know.  That's probably something that shouldn't be encouraged.  I personally don't mind people knowing that I'm Irish/Polish/Indian/Canadian/Whatever else.  But it's kind of like even if you're not pigeonholing them mentally or emotionally, you kind of are on a social level.

23:16 <Schism> (Mind you, I mean India, not First Nation.)

23:17 <Schism> Not sure how to express it.  I look about as Caucasian as anyone comes, so that's what I am.

23:17 <Cepheid> Oh, I'm not trying to identify them as X, Y or Z.

23:17 <Schism> Plus, being raised as such, Irish-Catholic, yada yada.

23:17 <Cepheid> Since there are all sorts of regions where certain traits can come from.

23:17 <Schism> No, no, I understand.

23:17 <Cepheid> Not every black person is from Africa.

23:19 <Schism> I don't know how to put it well.

23:20 <PinkieShy> I'm going to have to pay $85 soon to get my dryer just looked at to see what needs repairing..... :/

23:21 <Schism> Even putting aside the fact that facial and bodily features drift readily in this melting pot, there's the fact that such features can vary greatly based upon upbringing.

23:21 <Cepheid> No, no.  I understand what you mean.

23:21 <PinkieShy> That squealing noise be so loud I bet you can hear it outside.. Probably better than the alternative though which is going to landromat during coronavirus pandemic though..

23:21 <Cepheid> Meanwhile, back on the original topic...

23:21 <Cepheid> Voices.

23:22 <Cepheid> This is where things get troublesome for me.

23:22 <Schism> Fair nuff.  Voices ... well, yes.  You have some hearing issues, and that right there only _begins_ the problem.

23:22 <Schism> Well, begins to describe.  You know.

23:22 <Cepheid> With exception to regional differences caused by accent, I cannot, for the life of me, differentiate between two voices within the same region.

23:22 <Cepheid> The exception to the rule is that I can distinguish between male and female voices.  Usually.  Androgynous people might be able to throw me for a loop.

23:22 * Schism puts her headphones back on, hears 'tick, tock'. ... "Wait, where is this--oh, never logged out of FFXIV."

23:23 <Schism> Probably mine too.  :P

23:23 <Cepheid> But if two or more people of the same gender are about the same age, and from the same region, I likely won't be able to distinguish between them.

23:24 <Schism> I get that.  If there aren't distinguishing traits, and I mean readily distinguishing ones, then one person sounds a lot like another.

23:24 <Cepheid> It's one of the reasons I avoid voice chat.  The other reasons being that when the conversation gets to be more than three or four people, I generally cannot make out a singular voice.

23:24 <Cepheid> And as such I cannot understand what is being spoken.

23:24 * Schism nods, is the same.

23:24 <Cepheid> Voice chat exacerbates the problem a tad with the varying quality of microphones, and methods of handing voice chat in general.

23:25 <Schism> "That's okay, I'll just distinguish people by how terrible their microphones are."

23:25 <Cepheid> Some people use headsets.  Others use a separate microphone.  Others sometimes have stuff going on in the background.  Sometimes their Internet connection is spotty.

23:25 <Ali> Was going to say crappy internet

23:25 <Ali> Not everyone can afford that 5G lifestyle

23:26 <Schism> One of my coworkers, I can only distinguish from another by the fact that he has a cat meowing in the background.  "Hey, there." *meow* "Oh, hi, Max."

23:26 <Ali> Also I finally saw a story talking about autistic adults and losing their freedoms cause of the disability

23:26 <Cepheid> The ideal situation for me, is that everyone uses headsets, with the always-broadcasting option enabled, no "voice activated" or "push-to-talk".  Background noise is a minimum, or, ideally, something like a white noise, like a fan or A/C.

23:26 * Ali flops, reading that story made the unicorn worried

23:26 <Schism> Ali: Which story?  :<

23:26 <Schism> Oh that.

23:26 * Schism hugs Ali.

23:27 <Cepheid> Of course, even WITH this ideal situation, I'm still bothered by voice chat because of the requirement for a headset in my ideal setup.

23:27 <Cepheid> I'm looking into a way to get around this.

23:27 <Cepheid> Best solution I've been able to devise for the moment, which I need materials for..

23:27 <Schism> I'm imagining a pair of speakers draped around your neck and pointing towards your ears.

23:27 <Ali> Like we're smart, but have social drawbacks that cause some freedoms to be looked at as unable to do things and well, you're put into a place where you stand little chance of escaping from.

23:27 <Cepheid> Nah.

23:28 <Cepheid> Basically, the core issue for me is that I want to listen to the game audio, but I don't want it to be picked up by the microphone.

23:28 * Ali flops, unicorn struggles with a lot of basic things...

23:28 <Cepheid> So, I'd have to build a sound-proofing enclosure around the microphone.

23:28 <Schism> Ali: You're... in very good company here, you know.

23:28 * Schism hugs the Ali tight. "We don't quite have the same issues as you, but we have something like them."

23:28 <Cepheid> Also, the other problem with headsets in general is that I go back and forth between nose and mouth breathing.

23:29 <Cepheid> So long story short, voice chat picks up my breathing at times.

23:29 <Cepheid> Probably also picks up all my wheezing.

23:29 <Schism> When last I heard you, it didn't pick up that much, at least not enough to notice.

23:29 <Schism> Though we have a tendency to magnify our concerns.

23:29 <Cepheid> No, no.  I know this is a problem.

23:30 <Cepheid> People have told me.

23:30 <Cepheid> They can hear my breathing at times.

23:30 <Cepheid> And it's quite loud.

23:30 * Cepheid wonders what the best source of arts and crafts materials to make such a box is around here.

23:30 <Schism> Hmm.  Not sure how to get through that...

23:30 <Cepheid> I know how.

23:30 <Cepheid> I've examined setups of people who use regular microphones.

23:31 <Cepheid> The best way to get rid of the noise of breathing, either just general breathing, or when inhaling/exhaling when talking, is to place a thin cloth in between your mouth and the microphone.

23:31 * Schism attmepts to move her voice box upwards again today and learn how to do it on demand. Supposedly this will help. And it makes sense.

23:31 <Schism> Cepheid: #wearadamnmask ?

23:31 <Cepheid> No, no.

23:32 <Cepheid> Though that would do it, yeah.

23:32 <Schism> I know, I'm joking.  A microphone mask helps.

23:32 <Cepheid> In this case, it's more like, you take a circular needlepoint hoop, and stretch a thin material over it.

23:32 <Cepheid> Then use an armature to hold it in place between you and the microphone.

23:32 <Schism> Oh, yeah!  That's a standard blocker there.

23:33 <Cepheid> In my case, creating such a setup would probably cost maybe, $50.  I have a microphone I can even test with.  Though I can't vouch for the quality of it.  It's a Rock Band USB microphone. o3o

23:33 <Schism> $50?  Um.  You could do the same with a cut-up t-shirt and a wire coat hanger.

23:33 <Cepheid> I just need some sheet cardboard, some tools to cut it up, a hot glue gun, some foam(I know what type I need).

23:34 <Cepheid> No, this is for the whole setup.

23:34 <Schism> Oh, yeah.

23:34 <Cepheid> The box is a soundproofer.

23:34 <Cepheid> To avoid picking up the audio from the speakers around it.

23:34 * PinkieShy offers Ali a chocolate chip cookie made by the unicorns that should be big enough to last 1 hour of nomfs

23:34 <Cepheid> It'll still pick it up, but it won't be as bad.

23:34 <Cepheid> The benefit too is that the setup can later be used for voiceover work.

23:34 * Schism nodnods.

23:36 <Cepheid> The core benefit for me, is that I'd be more willing to do voice chatting, because my head won't die from the heatset.

23:36 <Cepheid> Er, headset*

23:36 <Cepheid> I honestly don't know what's going on there.  It's not that my ears are getting fatigued or anything.

23:37 <Cepheid> They do sweat from prolonged wear, but that's normal, I'm assuming.

23:37 <Cepheid> But I always get symptoms of a sinus headache/migraine after a couple of hours.

23:37 *** Joins: AppleDash (appled@Gladiolus.Rocks)

23:37 <Schism> Well, ears are one of those parts of our body which radiate heat readily.

23:37 <Ali> Also MAN is solar power worthless in Factorio..

23:37 <Cepheid> My ultimate guess is that it raises the temperature of my head, because ears are part of the head's manner to radiate heat.

23:38 <Cepheid> Which itself creates a warmer environment inside my nose and sinuses.

23:38 <Ali> Unless you have effients shoved in every machine, they just don't work as well as nuke power.

23:38 <Schism> It seems a sensible hypothesis.  Also, Ali: Yuuuup.

23:38 <Cepheid> Which then produces growth of dead material(I'm assuming that's what all the **** is.) from both the infection and the immune system fighting.

23:39 <Cepheid> Which ultimately leads to blockages in my sinuses.  And then a buildup of that gunk.  Followed by pressure.

23:39 <Cepheid> Followed by headaches.

23:41 <Cepheid> Geezus cripes.

23:41 <Schism> ?

23:41 <Cepheid> My aunt went through surgery for her leg.

23:41 <Cepheid> Apparently it was worse than anticipated.

23:41 <Schism> Oh no.  What happened?

23:41 <Cepheid> Apparently the ankle was completely crushed.

23:41 <Cepheid> Like, in literal small fragments and pieces.

23:41 <Cepheid> Took them five hours.

23:42 * Schism whitens. "That is not a simple fracture! Is she ... were they able to piece it back together?"

23:42 <Cepheid> Yeah.

23:42 <Cepheid> They were.

23:42 <Cepheid> But she absolutely has to stay off the leg for 8 weeks.

23:42 <Schism> Good.  I don't envy her the PT she'll have to go through, to be sure...

23:43 <Schism> Compared to that, my severed tendons from a few years ago really, really doesn't seem like much.

23:44 <Cepheid> Yeah.

23:44 <Cepheid> Unfortunately, none of the people involved in the accident, except for the elderly lady driving, remember the accident itself.  Fortunately, there were lots of witnesses.

23:44 <Cepheid> Now, the really unfortunate part.

23:45 <Schism> Oh no... I think I know where this is going.

23:45 <Cepheid> They both have the same insurance company.  And the lawyers they were going to employ?  Employed by the insurance company.

23:45 <Cepheid> As a result, there is a severe conflict of interest going on.

23:45 <Schism> ... [inordinate screaming intensifies]

23:45 <Cepheid> That said, I'm sure they have access to legal resources they can use in such a case.

23:46 <Cepheid> My uncle having been mayor of Cornwall, Ontario and all that.

23:46 <Cepheid> He likely has access to resources through his dealings in City Hall and politics and such.

23:47 <Cepheid> And before you ask, no, I do not know why he would get into politics.

23:47 <Schism> I would hope so... and I wasn't going to ask, though I am slightly salty about the fact that your uncle is only able to access those resources via the political establishment.

23:48 <Schism> Please don't get me wrong.  I'm glad it's being used for good in this case, and I don't want your aunt to be without her leg.

23:49 <Cepheid> Oh, I'm not saying these resources are exclusive to political agenda stuff.

23:49 <Cepheid> I'm talking he likely has a collection of resources available to him, collected up over time from his own dealings with crap.

23:49 <Cepheid> It's just, the best lawyer service he could employ is out of the question.  Unfortunate too, as I know them.

23:49 <Schism> Oh, no.  I know they're not.  But knowing people who know how to _use_ those resources is an enormous benefit.

23:50 <Cepheid> Yep.

23:50 <Schism> Cepheid: How many times have you done this?  https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/daily-life-of-dia/call-of-the-void/viewer?title_no=94272&episode_no=42

23:50 <Cepheid> Well, to be honest, if you get in politics, a lot of stuff gets thrown around.

23:50 <Schism> Yeah.

23:50 <Cepheid> Legal issues are more of a problem in politics than in practically any other field, if you ask me.

23:51 <Cepheid> Schism, you have no idea.  I do that all the time, myself.

23:51 <Cepheid> In fact, it's one of my more... distressing psychological problems I have.

23:51 <Schism> Same.  "Gee, all it'd take is one moment-- NOPE let's not please."

23:51 <Cepheid> I am not suicidal by any stretch of the word.  But I do have a problem.

23:51 <Cepheid> When I see a dangerous situation, my brain likes to imagine the scenario actively killing me, or me doing something to make it hurt or kill me.

23:52 <Cepheid> It's... disturbing.

23:52 <Cepheid> Makes me feel like there's something trying to kill me indirectly.

23:53 <Schism> I think that's a human thing.  Like, "What would happen if I did this?" and then immediately my brain goes "NOPE." and just shifts me away.

23:53 <Cepheid> Yeah, except the problem is, my brain shows me everything about it.

23:53 <Cepheid> And it also feels like there's a tugging or pushing sensation to DO it for some reason.

23:54 <Schism> Just to see what it'd be like?  Yeah, that ... I get that too.  But my brain never latches on to that.

23:55 <Cepheid> I usually recoil horribly.

23:55 <Cepheid> It's noticeable at times.

23:55 <Schism> Same.

23:55 <Cepheid> It's a case of "What am I doing?"

23:55 <Schism> Just, "Nope NOPE nope NOPE nope NOPE."

23:56 <Finwe> Good evening, my perissodactyls of minute stature.

23:56 <Schism> Worse yet, it comes and goes, and I'm worried about getting a wild hair and having that safety mechanism not trigger.

23:56 <Schism> rAdm. Finwe.

23:56 * Schism doffs her omelette.

23:57 <Cepheid> In any case, while I understood why you wanted to show me that comic, and sooner or later I'd encounter it anyways so it's moot, I have to say it made me uncomfortable. :P

23:57 <Finwe> Messrs Cepheid, Schism, PinkieShy and Lumindia; Mlles Ali, Filly_Nightmares and PrincessRainbows.

23:57 * Finwe doffs his hat.

23:57 <Cepheid> Finwe.

23:57 *** Quits: Angeline (Scootaloo@I.Will.Fly.Higher) (Ping timeout: 121 seconds)

23:57 <PinkieShy> Hey Finwe.

23:57 <Schism> Sorry, Cephy.  :S  I figured that having someone to commisserate with, knowing that it's not just you, might help.

23:57 <Schism> :<, rather.

23:57 * Finwe renders Ali's tail subject to being nommed on.

23:57 <Schism> And that it's not just me.  :<

23:58 <Cepheid> Dun worry about it.

23:58 <Cepheid> Like I said, I would have encountered it anyways.

23:58 * Cepheid is reading through the comic.

23:58 * Schism nodnods.
